The 2010 Call to Artists for the Brighton Biennial Sculpture Exhibit resulted in five new pieces by three artists being added to the exhibit. "Evolution One" by Ray Katz, one of the original 2006 Biennial sculptures, was taken down from its location at the former Cobb-Hall site on July 30, and a new Katz piece, "Spiral the Gate", was installed. Two more pieces by Kegham Tazian are on exhibit, and we are very excited to include two pieces by Detroit Design Center artist Israel Nordin. The official opening of this year's exhibit is the weekend of August 14-15 in conjunction with the Brighton Fine Arts Festival. The Brighton Arts & Culture Commission invites you to take a stroll using the art map available at the Chamber offices (131 Hyne), the CoBACH Building (202 W. Main) or City Hall (200 N. First St.) to find the new pieces and your old favorites from the original Biennial.
