| USA Jump Rope U.S. Trials World Qualifying Tournament

This is a free event hosted by the local jump rope team, the Jumpin' Allstars, coached by Renee Nix. Approximately 150 competitors from all over the U.S. will compete for a chance to be a member of Team USA which will travel to Tampa, FL in July to compete in the FISAC-IRSF International Jump Rope Skipping Championships for a shot at the title of World Champion!
This is an event that anyone will enjoy watching, so come out on Friday, February 17, at Scranton Middle School and Saturday, February 18, at Brighton High School.

| Special Olympics Polar Plunge
|
The Polar Plunge, which benefits Special Olympics of Michigan, will take place February 26, 2012 at Brighton High School. Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. and each participant will pay a minimum of $75 in either cash or pledges. Plungers are encouraged to register as early as possible by calling (734) 222-8283 or by visiting www.somi.org.
The Plunge begins at 2:00 p.m. and is immediately followed by an awards show and party. All proceeds go to Special Olympics of Michigan, with half the money going directly to Livingston County's Special Olympics program, which serves 450 Special Olympics athletes. |
