Let the excitement begin! The Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce is delighted to present Holiday Glow 2009, the traditional kick off to the holiday season with family and friends.
The Downtown Brighton Merchants will provide exciting and fun shopping and dining activities for the entire weekend.
The Holiday Glow’s highlight events will start on Saturday, November 21, 2009 and will run from 3:00-7:00pm. Join us at the Holiday Glow Stage located in front of the Mill Pond and become mesmerized by the music and dancing taking place during the day. Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus will arrive at the Holiday Glow Stage just after 6:00pm to receive the key to the city from our distinguished Mayor of Brighton. Once Santa receives the key to the city, downtown Brighton will magically light up with holiday lighting to welcome visitors to shop and dine in beautiful downtown Brighton for the entire holiday season. Thank you to Stillwater Grill, the Downtown Development Authority and the City of Brighton.
As we await Santa’s arrival, there will be a whole line up of fun things to do (at no charge!).
Music – traditional and updated holiday tunes – choirs and bands.
Nativity Petting Farm – Enjoy the company of reindeer and many other gentle animals – brought to you by Brighton Family Dentistry
Holiday Hayrides around downtown brought to you by Livingston Community Bank
Holiday Choo-Choo Train which travels up and down Main Street brought to you by Dr. Samuel Daniels, Orthodontist, Huron River Financial and DTE Energy.

| During February, the artists exhibiting will be Pamela Day, Audrey DiMarco-Terry, Phil Gibbon and Betty Lewis. The variety of art exhibited by these four multi-talented artists will range from digital art, oil paintings, photography, watercolor and sculptural work. Their work will be installed on February 3 and remain on exhibit through February during the CoBACH Center's hours: Wednesday-Saturday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. You may meet the artists at a "Celebrate the Artists" evening on February 26 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A new group of artists will install on March 3 and will be exhibiting through April 4. |

Children attending Marvelous Monday Mornings could win free ice cream cones from the Yum Yum Tree, suckers from Oh My Lolli!, bags of candy from Aggrand Natural Fertilizer and discount coupons from Tropical Sno.

| The Great Duck Race will begin immediately after the parade at about 11:30 a.m. The Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club will drop 4,000 plastic ducks into the Mill Pond at the starting line, and the resident whose duck crosses the line first wins. Each toy duck costs $5 and can be purchased from a Rotary member or on the day of the event. First price is a four-day, three-night Caribbean cruise for two. |
